... can destroy so much. It is clear that nationalists a la Jeanmarie Lepen et Viktor Orban would just love it, to see everything around EU going to h... 
BUT 
what if especially those nationalists come back on the UE/EU  level as new rulers? Which is not really unrealistic when we see what happens in elections in EU member countries. 
Just have a look at Hungary 2011. Just imagine a "Fiscal"Union" under Orban leadership ENFORCING itself over the whole UE/EU.

So, any BLIND HATE around the "fiscal"union" (combined with that ridiculousfear for the euro currency) will damage our ANTIFASCIST and ANTIRIGHTIST efforts because it is going to give EVEN MORE potential harmful instruments in the hands of potential very harmful nationalists (instead of keeping them back) 
while 
UE/EU member states  C O N S T I T U T I O N S  are indeed a means of SAFETY AGAINST (esp. UE/EU-wide) TOTALISM and that new UE/EU-NATIONALISM. 
(and these Constitutions would be overridden by the "Fiscal"Union": if the UE/EU Court decides that a member state is breaking the fiscal union duties, member parliaments would be commanded to change their respective laws and/or constitutions; that means frictioning the EU parliament against the member parliaments)

1. Lissabon Treaty has already destroyed much of the Veto of the UE/EU member states, and if nationalists get majorities in member states -- like Hungary right now -- will that give a (UE/EU) nationalist HYPER(ue/eu)Government with ENFORCEMENT of (then: nationalist) lawmaking & rulemaking. 
 
2. those "Economic"Government"mainstream" of the crisis ("rescue"propaganda) winners are trying the same thing now, by getting that "Economic"Government" through the back door (of the "Fiscal"Union") into their reach. 
 
So, many people hope to get rid of those primitive nationalist pressure mechanisms BY UE/EU 
but 
they will harvest even WORST (ue/eu)NATIONALISM (worse, because on the UE/EU level) than they ever had experienced before:

It really would be important, in this case, not to enable a LONGTERM TIE (treaty) for a SHORTTERM HOPE 
but 
to think it over what that "Fiscal"Union" really means, and will mean, and could mean, and to communicate that before it is too late.
