Dear all!
You have been invited and accepted to speak at the exchange of experience and ideas on a constructive popular movement programme for sustainable transition. I apologize for sending this information so late but hope that it will be a fruitful meeting. The venue is the red room in DGI-byen:
Sunday 13th of December, 17:00 – 19:00 - Speakers please come at latest 16:45
Red room - Klimaforum09 Tietgensgade 65 DGI-byen 1704 Copenhagen V Denmark (kort)
This room is situated with the other rooms at the far end inside the conference venue, see maps in the printed programme. There is space for som 120 participants. (In the official web programme it was earlier wrongly stated the Blue Hall 16:15 – 18:15, as well as translation to other languages than English, this cannot unfortuntaly be made as there are no translator boots, translation has to be made ad hoc)
The purpose is to give the participants at this seminar a possibility to discuss how popular movements jointly can promote plans and struggles for constructive programmes for sustainable transition. Important allied actors in this struggle one can find in the Klimaforum declaration System Change Not Climate Change: "alliances within and across all borders between direct producers in agriculture, forestry, fisheries and industry". Another actor is broader networks defending welfare and opposing neoliberalism as well as the environmental movement. All these actors will be present at the seminar.
All are asked to give a 5 minute presentation. The MST landless movement from Brazil has been asked to give a 10 minute presentation as one of the foremost popular movement struggles and plans for sustainable transition. Our main aim is to give an overview and stimulate a discussion with all participants both in the paneland the audience who will be asked toboth ask questions and make comments. Speakers are asked to give information to sources on the web or other places on where to find more material.
We propose the following order:
