"THE FUTURE OF THE WSF"

PROPOSAL TO JOIN THE PROPOSAL OF SEMINARS IN MALMO

 

 

Dear all,

 

Arci and Italian Coordination for WSF and ESF have registered a series of
seminars in Malmo called "The future of the WSF"

 

As you know, the WSF International Council opened a debate on this issue,
which will arrive to some first conclusion in the meeting in Copenhagen,
just after ESF in Malmo.

 

We would like, in this way, to make the discussion on the WSF future as
participatory as possible.

 

We propose to hold three seminars in Malmo, following the same structure of
the International Council debate:

 

1.   The new phase of the neoliberal globalization

2.   The altermondialistic movements: how we are?

3.   The future of the WSF process

 

Our idea is to have a participatory debate, with the participation of IC
members from different continents.

 

The discussion will start in each seminar with one short report of the
discussion in the IC on the three different topics, and then to have an open
debate.

 

We would like to arrive in Kiev with other co-organizers. We already know
that many organizations are interested.
