This reply below before christmas to an answer on our wish for a happy
christmas and happy new year bounced back as i was out travelling and could
not send emails to this list from internet. As it includes some information
regarding religous behaviour in Sweden it might still be of some interest.
In general of course Sweden uses the christmas for sacrificies to the good
of consumption, and yes this year our dear organisation of Industry and
Employers made a advertising campaign telling us that consumption was a holy
act enabling us all to feel happiness and bring the society forward. As we
all know spending much money on consumptions bring automatically growth that
automatically will bring technological solutions that will benefit all on
earth bringing social justice and environmental solutions to all of us. See
this was really an ideological christmas gift from our dear friends helped
by many small hard working liberal newspaper editors. Guess what country is
coordinating the neoliberal think tanks globally? Yes you right it is from
Sweden.
