[fse-esf] Toward a referendum in Hungary

The hungarian civic coalition against the privatisation of the Social Insurance System has convassed the necessary 200 thousand signatures to organize a referendum for the defense of the existing solidarity social system â013 has been announced in a press conference held in Budapest on Friday by the Hungarian Social Forum â013 Social Roundtable. The important result, giving opportunity to the safegarding of the social right has been achieved with a large social alliance embracing all social organisations, trade unions and political forces interested in preserving the solidarity system and refusing the marketisation of the public health care.  HSF-SR has played a central role in creating this social alliance by mobilazing and uniting the most various forces against the demolitzion of the welfare, for the defense of the social interest. By this act the Hungarian civic society has put in doubt the sense of the privatisation law beeing approved in second lecture by the National Assembly on Monday. In fact, the referendum could reduce to nothing the still not born law.
