Dear all,
we did not get any instruction nore invoice. Trying to pay by website
using the number MER or ACT I only get the information that activity is
not ready for paying. Tomorrow is the deadline. What shall I do?

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY! 

We are very sorry for the delay with the payment information to all of
you. It is caused by the delay in the practical merging process. We have
now started asigning the rooms to seminars and workshops, so you should
expect to be contacted within the next week. Please note that this is
only valid for the finalized mergers submitted on the website. If your
program activity is proposed to be merged and have not yet been merged
on the website, we urge you to do so immediately, or tell us if you have
any problems doing it. 

VERY IMPORTANT: The seminars that are not merged on the website by the
5th of August WILL BE CANCELLED! 

Update your program activity information before 5th of August!

It is each organisers responsibility to update the abstract, title and
language needs for interpretation at the latest on this date as well.
This is the text that will be visible in the printed program to interest
people in your seminar, so make sure it is correct. Many activities are
still missing an abstract. 

The maximum number of characters for the title is 100 characters
INCLUDING spaces, and the maximum number of characters for the abstracts
are 400 INCLUDING spaces. If your title or abstract is longer, we will
cut after the correct number of characters. 

It is also in your self interest to make sure your language information
is correct because the Interpretation Network Babels needs it to be able
to find the right languages for you. 

Payment deadline 15 August! 

The payment deadline has been extended to the 15th of August. Same as
before is true: if you have problems meeting this deadline for any
practical reasons, you have to contact us at payment at esf2008.org. It is
very important that you use only this adress! Do not answer to this
email!  

If you have already contaced us at the payment-address, you don't have
to do it again, even if we haven't answered. We have your email! 

Each of you (with a finished merged seminar or confirmed unmerged) will
be contacted by us with instructions on how to pay and an invoice of the
sum for your seminar/workshop. You can pay either online or by bank
transfer. Organisations from Denmark, Norway and Sweden have to pay in
SEK by bank transfer. 

Please don't pay your seminars before you hear from us, we don't have
the capacity to check and refund organisation who payed the wrong fee.
This is especially important since a lot of activities have to be
upgraded to a larger room due to the number of languages requested. We
cannot fit enough booths for interpretation in the smallest rooms. 

You can pay your organisation registration and individual registrations
directly online now. 

After the 5th of August...

After we have gotten the information we need for the printed program we
will take away the limitation on characters on your abstracts so that
you can add more information online. For example You can for example
update your information about speakers when they are decided. Please
observe that if you want your speakers in the printed program, they have
to be included in the abstract (within the 400 characters). 

Also use the openESF.net to plan and publicize your actvitity!


We will have a great program at the ESF in Malm!
