Dear all,
I think we need the meeting, not only for discussing the merging but to discuss all the points regarding the ESF in Malmö (opening, culture and others). That is why we should have the meeting in April and to speak about the process of ESF up to the next EPA also.
Best regards
Erhard

I did my bookings as well!

>From my point of view the main topic will be the merging criteria.

In addition we should discuss some "visible" events. (For example we have engaged the president of the International Metalworkers Federation. How to place him as a signal for the unions movement?) etc.

Best regards

Hugo

Only to say that they are people (like me) that already have booking both the flight and the hotel. So, please respect the decision took in Berlin.

All the best

Please, nordic committee confirm the meeting and send us an agenda for it. I think we cannot change, and we have to use the time in order to discuss criteria for merging and other points of the programme (there are many!"). Furthermore, remember that several peoples did already buy their tickets! All the best

Subject: [fse-esf] propose program activities for ESF 2008!

	Hi all ESF:ers!

Finally, after several delays, the final application form for submitting program proposals is now ready at the ESF 2008 website (esf2008.org). We apologize for all the delays. The process for submitting program activities will be open until May 31st. Please spread the invitation to participate bellow in your organizations, networks and as broadly as possible!

If you have any questuions about taking part in the program, don't hesitate to contact us at program at esf2008.org.

	---

Take part in creating another Europe!

Participate with program activities at the fifth European Social Forum in Malmö on September 17-21th

This autumn the fifth European Social Forum (ESF) will be held in Malmö, Sweden. It is the first ESF in Scandinavia and is expected to gather more than 20.000 people from all around Europe. ESF is the European counterpart to the World Social Forum and has become the clearly largest arena for trade unions, social movements and a progressive civil society who wants another Europe - and another World.

In a Europe of division between East and West, threatening social dumping and diminished labor rights, privatizations and decreased public welfare, democratic deficit in the EU, growing walls towards people in the rest of the world and an ever more urgent need for radical action to tackle a coming climate disaster, ESF is needed now more than ever! Take part in making a social, just, ecological sustainable and democratic Europe possible - another Europe for us living in Europe - and another Europe which is necessary for creating another world!

The program of the ESF is created by all participating organizations. Your organization and your experiences are crucial! Take the opportunity to submit proposals for program activities - workshops, seminars, assemblies and so on - directly at our website (http://www.esf2008.org). It will be possible to submit proposals for program activities until May 31st. At our website you will also find all the necessary information about ESF in Malmö, the Nordic organizing committee, how to register your organization and submit program proposals, and how process to build the ESF program is working.

The big focus for this ESF will be in alliance building, mobilization and to create concrete collaborations for new initiatives, actions and campaigns. The ESF is not merely an arena for contemplating the current states of affairs in Europe and the World - it is about creating real change and making another Europe and another World possible! Furthermore there will be extra efforts in order to achieve as broad and deep participation as possible from Eastern Europe.

In short: Warmly welcome to participate in the fifth ESF in Malmö and to submit your proposals for program activities! And please help us to spread this invitation as broadly as possible through your organizations, networks and contacts!

Lets build another Europe and another World!

/The program group, Nordic organizing committee
