The "Charter of Principles for another Europe" Network
                          European Parliament, Brussels, Room 1G1
                         THURSDAY 20 SEPTEMBER, 10:00 to 18:00
Just before the adoption of the new so-called "simplified" European
treaty in October in
Lisbon, the debate on the direction that Europe should take is highly
topical. The opinions and
proposals contained in the Charter of Principles for another Europe
merit being more
widely known debated and put into perspective. This Charter is the
result of close
collaboration between a number of alternative, social, trade union,
feminist, ecologist and
political movements. This is why the debate with European
parliamentarians can only add to
the process of action and reflection on another Europe.
