[fse-esf] Info from Hungary

   In order to overcome the deep division existing  in Hungary between far-left and civic organisations opened to large democratic alliances and co-operation against the neoliberalism, the Hungarian Social Forum-Social Roundtable (HSF-SR) represented by Endre Simó, has proposed a common Working Committee for preparing the hungarian participation at the ESF in Malmö. The â01EMalmö Initiative Hungarian Committeeâ01D should give place to all organisations interested to take part at the 5th ESF in Sweden â013 is written in the text presented Saturday by Dr. Gabor Janosi (Health Commission) and Imre Gajda (Source of Life Association) in the name of the HSF-SR in a Budapest meeting.

   At the same time HSF-SR has proposed a unity of action with far left concerning the following social goals:

Common step up against the privatisation of the Social Assurance System of Health, for the defense of the Solidarity Assurance System with democratic civic and political control over the Social Assurance Fund.Common step up for disminishing the social tensions due to the increasing living problems with risk of social blow up (prices, wages).Common action for implementing the Rights to Work, to Education and Housing.Common step up for modifying the system of distribution and re-distribution of wealth at the interest of the Workers and of people in need. Elimination of the fiscal paradise, moderation of the privileges and end of financial support with public money of the transnational corporations in Hungary. Re-nagotiation of the agreements concluded with them. Common step up for the defense of  Democratic Rights of Freedom and their material corroboration.Action unity for preparing the hungarian participation at the ESF in Malmö in September 2008. 

(Up to now no answer has been given to our proposals.)

 

The Hungarian Social Forum-Social Roundtable has declared to form an own platform in the frame of the Hungarian Social Foum movement.
