Solidarity Action Day in Hungary

 

    A Workers Solidarity Action Day will take place in Hungary on 21st November 2007. Promoted by Liga TUC and organized jointly by the other Trade Union Confederations and some TU of Branch, general strikes from 2 to 6 hours ara planned against the government social policy of cuts and mass lockouts. The most important sectors touched by the strikes are the railways and the schools. A big demonstration in Kossuth square will be held at the conclusion of the Day of Solidarity. The Hungarian Social Forum (SR) supports the action of the Trade Unions and is calling for a mass participation.
