[fse-esf] TUC-civic dem in Budapest

A joint demonstration of Trade Unions and Civic Organisations against the privatisation of the Social Insurance System and of the public healthcare has taken place in Budapest on Saturday 10th November with the participation of the Hungarian Social Forumâ019s organisations. The importance of the event organized in front of the Prime Ministerâ019s bureau int he National Assembly, was given by the fact that all six Hungarian Trade Union Confederations have taken part in it giving also floor to the civic representatives, among them to the organizer of the Hungarian Social Forum, Endre Simó. Also very different political forces of left and right (communists as well as rightwing radicals) have joined the demonstration for Healthy Rights, reflecting the common interest of the different straits of the Society for the safeguarding of the Solidarity Insurance System and the refusal of the liberalisation of the public health. The demo has ended without any incident, with a common appeal against the social policy of the government. An other demo followed by strike, also with the solidarity of the HSF (SR) will take place in Hungary on November 21.
