Shootings at the demonstration

Today more than 10.000 students and university professors demonstrated in 
the streets of Athens. At the same time similar demonstrations took place in 
other university cities. In Athens, when some demonstrators threw stones at 
the entrance of the Ministry of Aegean Sea a policeman shot two times After 
this incident the police attacked the demonstration with lots of tear-gas. 
Many demonstrators were bitten and there were a number of arrested people.

About 300 university departments are occupied by the students since January 
8. At the same time university professors are on strike for over one month. 
The movement demands the withdrawal of the new neoliberal law on higher 
education. Despite the gigantic media campaign against it (it is a real 
black propaganda!), the movement holds on.

As the Italian ant-war demonstrators said: We are going to old on at least 
one more minute than the government
