[fse-esf] WSF 2008 - proposal

Dear Friends,<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

The summer offers good possibilities thinking about decentralized activities in occasion of the Word Social Forum in January 2008. In addition – not competition – to the already proposed and partly discussed European demonstration I want to propose the following project: We should demonstrate against all <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:country-region><st1:place>US</st1:place></st1:country-region> military bases in <st1:place>Europe</st1:place> and demand their closures. (In <st1:country-region><st1:place>Germany</st1:place></st1:country-region> it would be Rammstein.) Further, we should demonstrate in all regions where bases for the new SDI are planed. <o:p></o:p>

These activities could support the proposed demonstration and peace activities in other parts of the world. They could involve many people who could/would go to one large European demonstration. <o:p></o:p>
