Dear comrades from ESF.
The Organizing Committee was established in Kiev the
12 of July 2007 for realization The Ukrainian Social
Forum (the 1 of May 2008). To The Organizing Committee
it was elected:
1. Chemerys Vladimir, defence counsel of law, director
of institute The Republic;
2. Malinkovich Vladimir, defence counsel of law,
political scientist;
3. Yavorskiy Viktor, President of Federation of
independent Trade Unions in Ukraine (FNPU):
4. Petrichenko Piter, Secretary General of The Trade
Union Independent Confederation in Ukraine (KNPU);
5. Ostapyuk Oleksandr, President of the independent
trade union Rovnenshchina (Ronvo);
6. Ishchenko Vladimir, sociologist, scientific
secretary of The Association of Ukrainian history of
labour people;
7. Agnishchenko Natalia, chief expert of The
Scientific Research Centre of genre in Kiev;
8. Meregko Oleksandr, Doctor of Jurisprudence,
professor, right publicist;
9. Novikov Igor, ecologist, Coordinator of the social
campaign of defence of the river of Dnister;
10. Zadyraka Vladimir, journalist;
11. Finko Anton, political scientist, chief expert of
The Political Research Centre;
12. Bey Ilia, editor of the site POLITSOVET,
coordinator or the regional committee BASTA
(Zaporozhie);
13. Tiran Irina, Chairman of the Civic Council of
defence of freedom of speech Media-rada;
14. Vernik Oleg, - Chairman of Trade Union Zakhyst
Pratsy in Kiev;
15. Ohotin Piter - Chairman of Students Trade Union
of The National University Kievo-Mogylyanska
Akademia;
16. Movchan Andrew Coordinator of cultural and art
Consolidation Ukrainskiy Avangard;
17. Klimenko Pavel Coordinator of actions of
students objection, Chairman of the students
parliament of The Teachers' training institute by
Grinchenko;
18. Demkiv Igor Coordinator of System of civic
initiatives BASTA;

The Organizing Committee has determined the themes of
The Ukrainian Social Forum. It includes the problems
of:
state and perspectives of development labour and
trade union movement, struggle against the reform of
Code of labour laws ;
genre equality and feminism movement;
defence of the human rights;
antifascism;
problems of Ukrainian Gastarbeiters and immigrants
to Ukraine;
state and development of education in Ukraine.
Students movement;
defence of the social process (struggle against
privatization, problems of reformation of health
protection system);
neoliberal globalization and Ukraine;
anti-imperialism and antimilitarism. Threat outside
of bloc state of Ukraine;
perspectives of left politics in Ukraine;
actual theoretical problems of global left movement;
history of labour people of Ukraine;
problems of state drug politics.
The Organizing Committee of The Ukrainian Social Forum
is opened for addition and coordinated action with all
progressive social movements and persons; it is opened
for all ecological, labour, students, trade union,
LHBT initiatives and movements.
