List of member organisations in the Nordic Organizing Committee including
members of national umbrella Social Forum networks in Denmark and Norway.
The basis for NOC is the World Social Forum Charter of principles. National
and local Social forums may have other plattforms. Only organizations that
have paid their membership fee are listed below. The fee is 5 000 SEK (ca
500 Euro) for richer organisation, 500 SEK for organisations with small
resources and 2 000 for organisations that choose this middle level.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
If no country is stated, the organisation comes from Sweden, the english
translation and description might be not fully correct. Please send
corrections to the address below. The Nordic Organizing Committee do not
include political parties as members. National and local social forums in
the Nordic country may have political parties among the organizers. The
Norwegian Social Forum is organised on long term basis, most others more ad
hoc for each event. The Great majority of Danish and Norwegian organisations
are only indirectly linked to the Nordic organizing Committeee through the
national social forum plattform, Finland Social Forum is involved in the
Nordic organizing Committee through key organisations. In Sweden no national
social Forum have been organised but many local social forums. Key
organisations in these local social forums are involved in the Nordic
Organizing Committee. The appeal to become member of the Nordic Organizing
