Mustafa Barghouthi calls for solidarity with Palestine on the World  
Social Forum Global Action Day on 26 January 2008

Ramallah, 14/12/2007

Another world is possible, a world in which Palestine will be free,  
democratic and will live in peace with its neighbour, Israel. This is  
our goal, through popular non-violent resistance, political struggle,  
social innovation and international solidarity.

The struggle of the Palestinian people is based on international law  
and international solidarity is key to its success.

On 26 January 2008, Global Day of Action and Mobilisation in the long  
and fruitful process of the Social Forums, I call on all the citizens  
of the world to demonstrate solidarity with Palestine and to take a  
stand for a just and lasting peace.

Together, internationals, Israelis and Palestinians, progressive- 
minded, steadfast and peaceful, we will end the occupation.

On 26 January, Palestine needs you!
