In Hungary the social fight against the privatisation of the public health system continues. New protests of the Workers are planned before Christmas. Lock-outs, assemblies, demonstrations are organized by the Trade Union Confederations with the support of a lot of civic organisations, among them those co-operating in the frame of the Hungarian Social Forum-Social Roundtable. On Thursday HSF SR has published a Declaration in which has assured of his full support the following social struggle of the workers, and has told, that the fight for the defense of the Solidarity System was at the same time a fight for the defense of the Democratic Rights of Freedom in Hungary. HSF SR has defined very grave the intention of the Socialist Party to vote the privatisation draft of law of the Social Insurance System on 17th December, because this vote would be against the will of the overwhelming majority of the Hungarian Society and it could put in question the sense of the democracy. â01EYour respnsibility with the Hungarian Society remains despite the full support of the European Commission and the European Central Bank to the â01Econvergency programâ01D of Ferenc Gyurcsany government, concerning the privatisation of the Public Services and the introducation of euro in Hungaryâ01D â013 is written in the declaration. A common Press Conference organized by the HSF SR with the participation of the TU-s, demonstrating the unity of action will take place on Monday.

(Solidarity messages are welcome.)
