This is just a reminder with some little chenges and info.
The European group of the network Labour and Globalization created in
Nairobi WSF will organize a meeting during the next European Social Forum
preparatory assembly in Stockholm.
The meeting will be held at Årsta Folkets Hus (room "Ågesta"), Hjälmarsv 28,
on Friday the 14th of September.

The meeting will be organized on three topics: EU trade agreements; European
social model; Precarity.
The programme of the meeting is:
9.30-9.40 Why ESF in Malmoe 2008 is important from a Swedish trade union
perspective

9.40-11.30 EU trade agreements and EPAs and their impact on labour
conditions in EU countries
Introduction:

Introduction:

16.30-17.00 The network Labour and Globalization in the WSF process What

Introduction:
Marco Berlinguer (Transform! Italia/ Lavoro in Movimento)
Each section will be introduced by brief openings (10-15 minutes). Then an
open discussion will follow. At the end, the last half an hour of each
section to discuss what to do next on each topic, having in mind the path
toward the next ESF (September 2008) and eventual scheduled agendas in the
meanwhile.
You are kindly invited to participate and to spread the invitation, having
in mind that one of the aims of the network is the enlargement of the
involvement of actors concerned with labour issues (trade unions, social
movements and centres of research) in the ESF process and the reinforcement
of the same utility of the ESF for this kind of issues; and the
accumulation, during the preparatory process of the next ESF, of materials,
relationships, lines of research that will be used to prepare the next ESF
(planned in Scandinavia for September 2008).
