[fse-esf] Anti-war national demo in Italy 30 september in Rome

Dear comrades and friends,

 

the 4° European Social Forum in Athens agreed with the fact that the first objective of the european mobilization is the struggle against global and permanent war promoted by USA and its allieds. Therefore, the ESF has estabilished a week of initiatives all around Europe from the 23rd to the 30th of September.

Consequently - and in spite of a serious splitting and a deep difference of opinion in the Italian anti-war movement about the Italian military missions in Afghanistan and Lebanon, decided by Prodi government and supported by all the parties of this government – we organize a national demonstration in Rome, saturday 30th September (P.della Repubblica 15:00 p.m.) with the following goals:

 

For the withdrawal of Italian troops from all the war fronts

Not to the ONU mission in Lebanon

End of Palestine occupation, return of all refugees

Closure of all USA and NATO military bases

Nuclear disarmament, beginning with the nuclear weapons states

Stop threats against countries not under USA control

With the resistance of Lebanese, Palestinian, Iraqi and Afgan people

Against the anti-islamic campaign

Against cuts of social expenditure, against financing of military 

missions and weapons.
