The Resistance

Beirut international meeting is gathering representatives from political parties, trade unions, movements and associations and also political, intellectual and cultural personalities from the whole world, in order to salute the Lebanese people’s resistance vis-à-vis the Israeli aggression; to counter the preparations in progress of a new aggression on Lebanon and the region, and to coordinate the actions of these forces facing the global and permanent war policy which constitutes a universal threat.

 

The initiative emerged during the July/August 2006 Israeli aggression on Lebanon, it was raised by solidarity delegations that went there although the intensive bombings. This initiative met an enthusiastic welcome, on the Arab as well as on the international level, it reflects the need of the forces that are opposed to the war logic and to the colonial hegemony to meet, debate and coordinate.

 

The Lebanese Communist Party, Hezbollah, the National Unity Tribune, the People’s Movement and Samidoun (the network of civil society’s associations) are launching the invitation from Lebanon.

لقاء بيروت العالمي لدعم المقاومة

يجمع لقاء بيروت ممثلي أحزاب وقوى ونقابات وجمعيات، وكذلك شخصيات سياسية وفكرية وثقافية وإعلامية، من كافة القارات وكل بلدان العالم، لتوجيه التحية لصمود الشعب اللبناني ومقاومته في وجه العدوان الإسرائيلي، وللتداول في كيفية قطع الطريق على عدوان جديد يهيأ على لبنان والمنطقة، وللاتفاق على المهمات المشتركة في ظل هيمنة سياسة الحرب الشاملة والدائمة والأخطار التي تنبع منها وتتهدد كل شعوب الأرض.

 

ولدت المبادرة أثناء العدوان على لبنان في صيف 2006، وحملتها الوفود التضامنية التي حضرت إليه رغم القصف، ولاقت صدى كبيرا وقبولا عربيين وعالميين، يعبران عن حاجة القوى المناهضة لمنطق الحرب والمقاوِمة للهيمنة الاستعمارية، للقاء والنقاش والتنسيق.

 

يطلق الدعوة من لبنان الحزب الشيوعي، وحزب الله، ومنبر الوحدة الوطنية، وحركة الشعب، وشبكة المنظمات الاهلية "صامدون".

INVITACIÓN A UN ENCUENTRO INTERNACIONAL EN BEIRUT EN APOYO DE LA RESISTENCIA

Representantes de partidos políticos, sindicatos, movimientos y  asociaciones, tanto como personalidades políticas, intelectuales y culturales de  todo el mundo se reúnen  en el encuentro internacional de Beirut para saludar la resistencia del pueblo libanés frente a la agresión israelí de la que sufrió, y  para prepararse a impedir  el ataque que se esta preparando contra Líbano y la región. Se reúnen para coordinar las acciones de las fuerzas frente a la política de guerra global y permanente que constituye hoy una amenaza universal. 

 

Esta iniciativa nació durante la agresión israelí contra Líbano en julio/ agosto del 2006, con la presencia de delegaciones internacionales que estuvieron allí a pesar de la intensidad de los bombardeos. Esta iniciativa fue acogida con mucho entusiasmo, tanto árabe como internacional, lo que en si demuestra la necesidad de la fuerzas opuestas a la lógica de la guerra y a la de la hegemonía colonial, de encontrarse, de debatir y de coordinarse. 

 

Desde Líbano, el Partido Comunista Libanés, el Hizbollah, la Tribuna de la Unidad Nacional, el Movimiento del pueblo,  la red de las asociaciones de la sociedad civil “Samidoun”, lanzan esta invitación.

La rencontre internationale de Beyrouth réunit des représentants de partis politiques, syndicats, mouvements et associations, ainsi que des personnalités politiques, intellectuelles et culturelles du monde entier, pour saluer la résistance du peuple libanais face à l’agression israélienne, pour contrer les préparatifs en cours d’une nouvelle agression sur le Liban et la région, et pour coordonner les actions de ces forces face à la politique de guerre globale et permanente qui constitue une menace universelle.

 

L’initiative est née durant l’agression israélienne de juillet/août 2006 sur le Liban, portée par les délégations de solidarité qui s’y sont rendues malgré l’intensité des bombardements. Cette initiative a rencontré un accueil enthousiaste, tant sur le plan arabe qu’international, qui reflète le besoin des forces opposées à la logique de la guerre et à l’hégémonie coloniale, de se retrouver, de discuter et de coordonner.

 

Depuis le Liban, le Parti communiste libanais, Hezbollah, la Tribune de l’unité nationale, le Mouvement du peuple, et le réseau des associations de la société civile «Samidoun», lancent l’invitation.
