After fourth ESFs there is a feeling of crisis, from possitive and negative approuches. A common need of is to step back and ask: WHAT NEXT?.

In occassion of the European Preparatory Assembly (3rd to 5th November 2006 at Frankfurt Main/Germany) dedicate to discusse the Future of the ESF, this newsletter is an attempt to provide a multitude of answers to the “what next?” question, reflecting upon the Forum’s purpose, practical achievements and methods of organisation.
In the newsletter you will find in a firts section a collection of recent individual and collective assessments and resources on REFLECTION ON THE esf'S FUTURE, mostly specially wrote for the EAP and from many different standpoints. In a second section of the newsletter, you will find COLLECTIVE REFLECTION AND REPORTS ON THE LAST ESF AT ATHENS . And last, a third section that include information on resolutions to be sign at the EPA, calls for actions and solidarity, and news of the actuality.

(During a evaluation EPA done after the London ESF a similar resources was done. You could compare that moment of the debate to the current situation visiting: Newsletter after London: European Social Forum: Debating the challenges for its future - December 2004 http://www.euromovements.info/newsletter/index.htm).

This resource is based on a OPEN PUBLISING SYSTEM (wiki), you are invited to participate and insert your materials and/or comments. This resource is part of a pilot experience applying the ESF open space philosophy to the collective construction of an E-yearbook on social movement at Europe. And part of the ESF Common Memory project.

One thing that is clear is that there exist a wide diversity of hopes for the Forum, and that there is little fear of conflicting views and debate. GOOD ESF'S FUTURE DEBATE!!!
