No Vox Declaration , 4th ESF in Athens
  this declaration was read during the General Assembly of Social 
Movements, on the 7th May 2006
 
 
During this 4th ESF in Athens, the participation and visibility of the 
Have-Nots, of the precarious, the migrants and their grass-root 
movements have been strengthened.
Have-Nots from central, and  eastern Europe, from the Balkans and 
Turkey have met and exchanged.
 
Nevertheless, the No-Vox network worries that the European Social Forum 
has become a battlefield for some political organisations. We also 
strongly denounce the influence of political parties within the 
preparation of the forum as well as during the forum itself. Very clear 
rules have to be set, that respect the various opinions, so that 
struggles and concrete actions of solidarity can converge.
 
We wish to stress that we support the development of the Greek social 
forum process so that all its components, especially social movements 
are able to participate, in the social forums.
 
We call to march against the G8 in June 2007 to denounce  at an 
 international level, the increasing precarity, the increasing 
inequalities, the increasing exclusion, discriminations repression and 
criminalization of  Have-nots (undocumented migrants, those with no 
access to land, those without housing and the badly housed, those 
without income or benefits, women, youth, those in internships, the 
disabled…)
 
We demand a real and concrete wealth redistribution and we call for new 
social rights such as the freedom of movement and settlement, the right 
to a universal guaranteed income for all, the right to housing, to 
land, the right to live in a world of solidarity, the right to a clean 
and safe environment for future generations.

Déclaration NoVox au FSE d’Athènes
- lecture à l’Assemblée des Mouvements Sociaux -

Le FSE d’Athènes a permis de renforcer la participation et la 
visibilité des « sans », des précaires, des migrants et de leurs 
mouvements de lutte de base. Des rencontres ont eu lieu entre les 
« sans » de l’Europe Centrale, Orientale, des Balkans et de Turquie.

Cependant, le réseau NoVox constate avec inquiétudes que le forum 
social européen se transforme en champs de bataille entre certaines 
organisations politiques et dénonce fortement l’entrisme des partis 
politiques aussi bien dans le processus de préparation que pendant le 
déroulement du forum. Nous souhaitons que des règles respectant les 
opinions de chacun soient mises en place pour permettre de faire 
converger les luttes et les actions concrètes de solidarité.

Nous tenons à rappeler que, dans le cadre de ce FSE d’Athènes, le forum 
social grec doit être renforcé en particulier pour aider à la venue de 
ses mouvements !

Nous appelons à marcher contre le G8 de 2007 pour dénoncer à l’échelle 
internationale l’augmentation de la précarité, des inégalités, de 
l’exclusion, des discriminations, de la répression et de la 
criminalisation contre les  « sans » (les sans-papiers, sans-terres, 
sans-logis et mal-logés, sans-revenu, femmes, jeunes, stagiaires, 
handicapés, etc.).

Nous exigeons un véritable partage des richesses et appelons à bâtir de 
nouveaux droits tels que le droit à la liberté de circulation et de 
s’installer, le droit à un revenu garanti universel décent pour toutEs, 
le droit à un logement, le droit à une terre, le droit de vivre dans un 
monde plus solidaire, le droit à un environnement sain pour les 
générations futures.
