Dear Yiannis, dear all

As you can see from the information letter below Yiannis is giving
emphasis that there is "absolutely" no consensus since some of us
referred just that there was "no consensus" to our proposal for
speakers. It would add more to the oppeness and transparency of the
process if anyone from Greek Social Forum put on the list of the
other proposal for speakers from Greek Social Forum as we had it on
the last meeting. Also, if people explained the reasons for not
having consensus ie their arguments for and against some speakers or
the structure of the events.
The relation between events and seminars is important. Some people
want to impose defacto a lack of visibility of ESF referring to main
struggles by just stopping the process of coming to an agreement on
big events and promoting a vision of a decentralized Forum- even
more extreme than the disaster of Porto Allegre- based on promoting
the fragmentation of the movement.
If people think that visibility will be achieved through big
concerts like the antiracist and the antiwar this would simply make
the appeal of ESF to the movements very weak and inefficient.
If they think that another process can achieve this I would be open
to listen.
Fratenally
Petros
