Dear organizers,
I absolutely agree with Matyas. As I wrote already after EPA Istanbul if you
really want to have a strong participation from CEEC it is of vital
importance to GUARANTEE at least a partial reimbursement of their travel
costs AND to secure a free accommodation, be it on a floor. There are not so
many active people which would risk to pay all the costs. "We will do our
best but we do not guarantee anything" is not sufficient - they want to hear
something like "We guarantee 50 per cent, we will do our best to raise funds
for the rest".
In no way is it enough to rely on the registration fees alone. Do not forget
that CEE pax have also problems to get visa, to get a leave from work/school
(because of a long journey), etc.
Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year in which all of us will see a big impetus
for our alterglob movements,
Mirek Prokes, ISF Czechia
