Solidarity with Indonesia

We have received from Indonesia calls for solidarity witht the victimes 
of the earthquake in Java

The earthquake that occurred on 27 May 2006 resulted in 6000 deaths, 
tens of thousands of persons injured and hundreds of thousands rendered 
homeless. Our association « Europe solidaire sans frontières » (Europe 
in solidarity without borders), is facilitating financial aid for the 
victims of this new catastrophe.

The money gathered will be sent to local people’s organizations who 
have mobilized themselves in the municipality of Klaten where the 
districts of Gantiwarno, Wedi, Prambanan, Jogonalan, Trucuk, Cawas, 
Bayat, and Karangdowo have been most seriously affected.

In this municipality, according to the first estimates, 980 persons 
were killed, 18,272 were injured and 40,881 houses destroyed.
